We hunt for hundreds of 5% to 30% short-term winners in a year. The goal is to compound our capital quickly by actively moving in and out of positions. Our typical holding period is between one and four weeks.
Each idea comes with a trigger level, entry zone, a stop, an exit target, suggested position sizing, and a brief explanation of why we like it.
How to enter
If a setup does not trigger, we do not enter.
The entry zone on the table shows the max price we would pay after a signal is given.
You could either watch and enter in real time as setups trigger or you could place buy stop limit orders and then manage trades that triggered.
How to exit
1. I like to sell on strength. Sell half after our first target is reached. If our first target is not reached within 5-10 trading days of our entry, we will consider closing the position and move on.
2. We might sell the other half on a close below a 10-day EMA or after our second target is reached. The 10EMA will allow us to capture a big portion of a short-term trend.
For short setups – sell the rest when it closes above its 10-day EMA.
Honor your stops. They are there for a reason. No place for complacency.
